What would your dollars earn on Bitfinex's funding market? Real market rate, every fee subtracted — no marketing math.
Bitfinex funding rates are quoted as a daily rate and interest accrues per day the loan is open. A rate of 0.03% per day equals roughly 10.95% annualized (0.03% × 365). Interest is credited when the loan closes or daily for long loans, and Bitfinex deducts its 15% fee from the interest — never from your principal.
Lend $10,000 at a 9.67% annual market rate: gross interest is about $967 per year. Bitfinex keeps 15% ($145), leaving you about $822 per year, or $68 per month — assuming the money is actually lent out the whole time, which is exactly the part automation helps with: idle days earn nothing.
The FRR (Flash Return Rate) is an average of loans that are already open, so it lags the live market. This calculator uses the volume-weighted average of real trades from the last 30 days instead — the rate money actually changed hands at.
