USD is the deepest funding market on Bitfinex — borrower demand runs to millions of dollars per hour, so well-priced offers typically fill in minutes. Rates below come from real trades — the volume-weighted median of what borrowers are actually paying — and are set by demand, not guaranteed.
In a deep market, quoting near the median traded rate wins: quick fills that compound beat holding out for a higher print. That is exactly how our engine prices USD. The full analysis is in our study of 88 million real funding trades.
Rate spikes are when locking long loans pays best — and they fade within hours. Leave an email and we'll ping you the moment the market crosses your line. Free, no account needed.
The actual queue right now: how much money is waiting at each rate, and how much is ahead of it. Lower rates fill first; equal rates fill first-in-first-out.
The live rate is shown at the top of this page and refreshes every 5 minutes from real Bitfinex trades — it is the volume-weighted median of what borrowers are actually paying right now, not the asking price and not the FRR.
USD is Bitfinex's deepest funding market. An offer priced near the recent traded median typically fills within minutes; offers priced far above the market can sit unfilled for hours or days while earning nothing. Fill speed is set by how much money is queued at or below your rate.
They behave differently. USD is deeper, so fills are fast and the best strategy quotes close to the median. USDt is shallower, so patient offers at higher percentiles get paid more. Rates on the two markets also diverge — many lenders run both and let the market decide where the yield is.
